JUNIOR COLLEGE:
Played two seasons at Long Beach Community College at both first
base and pitcher for coach Casey Crook. He was the All South Coast
Conference’s Pitcher of the Year in 2006 with 19 saves and earned
all-conference and All-Southern California Team honors.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Graduated from Milliken High in 2004 where he played a variety of
positions while earning three varsity letters. He was co-MVP of his
freshman team and helped his junior varsity team to the league title
as a sophomore. He earned second-team all-league honors as a utility
player his junior year and then as a third baseman as a senior.
PERSONAL:
Born Oct. 21, 1985 to Steve and Laurie Minor in Long Beach, Calif.
He has one sister, Julie. His grandfather, Harry Minor (Brewers),
and uncle, Don Ruzels (Dodgers), played in the minor leagues.
Minor’s hobbies include surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding. He
is majoring in Kinesiology. |
