LCSC: Named
to the 2008 NAIA Preseason All-America team. Is expected to play
both shortstop and outfield this season. Had a stellar junior season
while earning NAIA Region I honors. Was fourth among regular
starters with a .357 average. He hit .361 against left-handers, .355
against right-handers, and .377 with runners on base. Showed power
by tying for second on the team with seven home runs and was third
in RBI with 52. Also was second on the team in stolen bases, going a
perfect 13-of-13.
JUNIOR
COLLEGE: Played two
seasons at shortstop for Bob Duda at Wenatchee Valley CC and also
was the team captain in 2006. He earned second-team all-conference
honors both seasons there.
HIGH
SCHOOL: Attended
Ellensburg High in Washington where he played three seasons on the
baseball team and one year on the basketball team, serving as team
captain for both in 2003, his senior year. He led the team in
hitting as a sophomore and was the team MVP and a first-team
all-league selection. He nearly did a repeat as a junior, leading
the team in hitting earning MVP honors, and was a second-team
all-league choice. As a senior, he was co-MVP of the Mid-Valley
League and a first-team all-State selection. In basketball, he won
the Team Leadership Award.
PERSONAL: Born on
Jan. 25, 1985 in Othello, Wash., to Kevin and Tally Wyatt, who now
reside in Kittitas, Wash. Brent has two brothers, Michael and Tyler,
and four sisters, Heidi, Laurel, Kristen, and Kylie. Brent’s hobbies
include all sports.
He is a Kinesiology
major.
