The Lewis-Clark State College baseball team was ranked No. 10 for the second week in a row in this week’s NAIA Baseball Coaches Top 25 poll, which was released on Tuesday.
Lubbuck Christian, which won two-of-three games last week against the former No. 1 Oklahoma City, earned 647 points in the poll to claim the No. 1 spot. Lubbuck is currently 26-3 on the year, while Oklahoma City earned 612 points and stands at 28-3.
The poll’s top 10 had another major change as Campbellsville University (Ky.) moved from No. 12 to No. 8 to fill the top 10 opening created by Lee University’s fall from second to No. 15.
Also in the poll, regional foe British Columbia rose 10 spots to be ranked No. 14
Prior to this season, LCSC had not been ranked lower than sixth since 1989. Lewis-Clark State, which played only one game last week, earned 429 points in this week’s poll and 397 last week.
The Warriors next games will be against Corban College on March 26-27 in Salem, Ore.
