LCSC:
Had an immediate impact
on the program. Was
named MVP of the Avista
NAIA World Series after
going 12-for-27 (.444),
including 3-for-5 mark
in the championship
game. He finished with
eight RBI, three home
runs and Series-best
five doubles. Ward also
was selected to the NAIA
Rawlings Gold Glove
Team, selected by the
NAIA Baseball Coaches
Association, for his
defensive play, and was
a second-team NAIA All
American selection after
hitting .367 with 18
doubles (second on the
team) and eight home
runs (third on the
team). Earned
first-team Region I
honors. He started 47 of
the 50 games he played
in. Had a .995 fielding
percentage.
JUNIOR COLLEGE:
Played for Eastern
Oklahoma as a freshman,
but transferred to
Golden West JC in 2006
for his sophomore year.
At Golden West he was a
teammate of current
Warrior Kyle Cruikshank
for one season. In 2006,
he won the batting title
with a .420 average, and
was named Golden West's
MVP. Sat out last season
due to Tommy John
surgery.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Attended Marina High in
Huntington Beach and
graduated in 2004.
Played baseball and was
on varsity for three
seasons. Helped Marina
High to the state
division 1 championship
in 2003. During high
school he also played
for the Atlanta Braves
scout team, the OC
Giants Connie Mac team,
and was on the
California state
all-star senior team.
Turned down the Houston
Astros 20th round
selection.

Born Oct. 17, 1985 to
Mark and Marsha Ward in
Los Angeles. Has two
brothers and one sister.
Lists baseball as his
only hobby.
