Scott Baldwin, Vice President, Financial Consultant at D.A. Davidson & Co’s Lewiston branch, has been honored as the recipient of the 2009 Bragg Lewis Knutson Community Service Award. The award is the firm’s highest honor, and is given annually to a Davidson Companies associate in recognition of outstanding volunteerism.Baldwin has been a volunteer with the Twin County United Way for 13 years, and a board member since 2000. He has served as President, Vice President, Campaign Chair, Board Development Chair, and Loaned Executive.
Baldwin has been a member of the Lewis Clark State College Warrior Athletic Association for the last four years, and currently serves as President. He is a volunteer coach for the Lewiston Little League, and is a past member of the Youth Accountability Board. He’s also involved with the Valley Boys and Girls Club, Lewiston Chamber of Commerce and the New Bridges community Church.
Baldwin and his wife, Staci, established the Jackson’s Pay-It-Forward Foundation, an organization that helps local children and their families that are suffering, in honor of their oldest son who passed away in May 2006, just past his 10th birthday. They also spearheaded the Jackson Baldwin Falls, A Children’s Memorial. The monument at the entrance to Lewiston contains three waterfalls with a winding pathway. It honors local children who have passed before their 18th birthday, and displays the names of over 170 children, with new requests for names to be listed every month.
The Bragg Lewis Knutson Community Service Award was established in 1995 in
memory of Gene Lewis, Bob Bragg and Don Knutson, three executives killed in the
1994 crash of the Davidson Companies airplane near Great Falls. All three were active
in community and professional service. The award recognizes an associate who is
dedicated to the same spirit of outstanding community service.
