Lewis-Clark State College senior Josh Ashenbrenner was named to the 2010 Rawlings-NAIA Baseball Gold Glove Team as selected by the NAIA-American Baseball Coaches Association All-American Selection Committee, it was announced on Friday.
Ashenbrenner was one of nine players elected based upon their fielding success in the fourth annual selection of the team.
Ashenbrenner, who transferred to LCSC from Washington State after his freshman season, played third base, shortstop, and second base for the Warriors this season. He committed only two errors during the first three months of the season and finished with a .958 fielding percentage and a team-high 124 assists.
The Kirkland, Wash., product also hit .343 during the season while playing in 48 games, including starting in 45.
