season and will be a junior
eligibility-wise this year.
JUNIOR COLLEGE:
Was named to the All-NorCal
Team twice while at
Merced College.
He also earned team MVP
honors. In 2007, he started
all 45 games he played in
and hit .390 (73-for-187)
with six home runs, two
triples, 18 doubles, 44 RBI,
and 12 stolen bases.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Earned varsity letters in
basketball, golf,
volleyball, and soccer at
McMath Secondary. In
basketball he earned
first-team all-city, and
second-team all-lower
mainland honors. In golf he
was named the provincial
long drive champion. Played
softball for the men’s
junior national team. Also
won a provincial
championship in hockey in
2002.
PERSONAL: Born April
30, 1987 to parents Ron and
Robin Abrey. Hobbies include
hockey and relaxing. His
father, Ron Abrey, played
baseball at Big Bend. Is pursuing a degree in Kinesiology.
