JUNIOR COLLEGE:
Played two seasons at
Lower
Columbia
Community College
and was a team captain as a
sophomore. Earned West
Division first team honors
as a freshman. Last season
he made 18 appearances and
threw 52.1 innings. He
finished with a 5-0 record
and a 2.24 ERA. Went
6-2 as a freshman with a
1.94 ERA.
HIGH
SCHOOL:
Attended Sandpoint High and
graduated in 2007. He was a
three-sport athlete. Played
on the football team as a
defensive back and earned
one letter, and also earned
two letters in wrestling. In
baseball, he earned four
letters and played second
base, shortstop, and third
base. He also pitched. He
also served as team captain
his senior year. He
was the football team’s
Defensive Player of the year
in 2004. In baseball, he was
the batting champion as a
junior on the team, which
won the state championship –
the only state baseball
championship in school
history. His senior season,
he was selected the Pitcher
of the Year and set the
school strikeout record with
102.
PERSONAL:
Born July 29, 1989 in
Sandpoint. His parents are
Bob and Janine Lichty and he
has one brother, Eric. Lists
his hobbies as hunting,
fishing, hiking, camping,
and riding dirt bikes. Is a
Kinesiology major.
