Weather again has caused Lewis-Clark State College to shift the site of a four-game NAIA West series as the Warriors will now play host to Concordia this Friday-Sunday rather than travel to Portland for the games.
Because Concordia’s baseball field is under construction, the team is playing its home games at the University of Portland. But because of wet weather in the Portland area last week and more rain expected this week, playing conditions of the field are questionable.
Therefore, the teams will move the games to Lewiston where the weather forecast for later in the week is better.
The two teams will now play a single game at 2 p.m. on Friday, a doubleheader at 1 p.m. on Saturday and a single game at noon on Sunday, all at LCSC’s Harris Field. The games scheduled for Lewiston on April 1-3 will now be played in Portland.
Concordia is 4-7 overall and 0-0 in league play, while LCSC is 9-1 and 1-0. LCSC defeated Concordia 9-2 and 17-5 in the season-opening Red Lion Tournament in Lewiston on Feb. 10-13.
