Volunteers are needed to fill some positions at the 55th annual Avista NAIA World Series, which will be held May 27-June 3 at Lewis-Clark State College’s Harris Field.
Individuals or groups can sign up to volunteer at the Series. All volunteers receive a free volunteer T-shirt as well as a day pass to the day(s) they volunteer on.
Depending on the position, volunteers usually work in 3-4 hour shifts. The shifts run 7-11 a.m., 11 a.m.-3 p.m., 3-7 p.m. and 7-10 p.m.
Groups are also encouraged to volunteer together. Concession sales usually needs 8-10 workers per shift, ushers need 5-6 people per shift and 50/50 ticket sellers need 8-10 workers during the evening game.
Individual shifts include clean-up crew, concessions, parking attendants, program and ticket sales, ticket takers, and ushers.
New volunteer opportunities this year including helping in the video, program sales and Dave Hechtner print sales, West exit ushers, and working in the video production truck with the video broadcast of each game.
No experience is necessary and training will be provided.
All volunteers also will be invited to the Volunteer Barbecue at LCSC on May 15 where they receive a free meal and can pick up their volunteer T-shirts and learn more about their volunteer position.
