LCSC: Appeared in nine games (three starts) and 17.1 innings in 2010…had an ERA of 6.23 and had one save…finished with 19 strikeouts and 13 walks.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Attended Cerritos Junior College in California where he was both a pitcher and designated hitter…he earned first-team all-conference honors as a designated hitter during his freshman season in 2008, and then was a first-team all-conference selection as a pitcher during his sophomore year…hit .408 with nine doubles, two triples, two home runs and 36 RBI in the final 28 games of his freshman season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Gahr High School and graduated in 2006…he was a four-year letterwinner in baseball and a pitcher and first baseman and served as the team captain his final two seasons…was a four-time first team all-San Gabriel Valley League selection…posted a combined 18-0 record in his junior and seniors seasons with an ERA of less than 0.90.

PERSONAL: Born on Jan. 4, 1988 in Montebello, Calif…parents are George and Frankie Sanchez…he has three brothers, David, Louie, and Victor, who plays baseball at the University of San Diego…hobbies include music and he is a DJ…is a Kinesiology major.
