The Lewis-Clark State College baseball team dropped one spot to be listed at No. 10 in the NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, released by the national office on Tuesday.
The Warriors have won 12 of their last 14 games and are 32-10 overall. They lead the NAIA West with a league record of 21-6.
LCSC actually received more points in this poll (389) than it did in last week’s (382), however, Point Park (Pa.), 36-7 overall, grabbed 410 points to climb from No. 10 to No. 9.
The Warriors continue to be ranked in the top 10 in a number of statistical categories. They are No. 2 in doubles per game (2.7), No. 2 in hits per game (11.6), No. 2 in total doubles (112), No. 7 in total hits (488), No. 8 in opposing batters struck out (334), and No. 10 in runs scored per game (8.0).
Leading the poll for the third straight week is LSU Shreveport (La.). The Pilots, 37-4 on the season, saw their 16-game win streak come to an end last week but still garnered 18 of 20 first-place votes.
Oklahoma City, 32-7, is ranked No. 2; Lee, 42-8-1, is at No. 3; and Azusa Pacific, 33-8, received the other two first-place votes and came in at No. 4.
The College of Idaho received 130 points to move back into the top 25 at No. 24. The Coyotes, 32-12 overall, are second in the NAIA West standings with a league record of 17-7.
The next poll will be released on April 24.
