Warriors finish regular season ranked No. 10

The Lewis-Clark State College baseball team slipped one spot to No. 10 in the final NAIA Baseball Coaches Top 25 poll of the regular season, which was released on Sunday.

 
The Warriors, who finished the regular season 41-12, received 352 points in the poll to slip one spot. Concordia of California, which was ranked No. 11 in last week’s poll, jumped two spots into the ninth spot with 367 points.
 
All team ranked in the NAIA Top 25, except for LCSC, will join 20 others in taking part in nine NAIA World Series opening round tournaments. The nine winners will join LCSC for the 10-team Avista NAIA World Series double-elimination tournament at Lewiston’s Harris Field starting on May 25.
 
For the sixth-consecutive week, LSU Shreveport (La.) helds down the No. 1 position. The Pilots cruised to their third-consecutive Red River Athletic Conference title and outscored opponents 45-16 during the tournament to improve to 48-4 on the season. The Pilots received 17 first-place votes and 498 total points in the final regular-season edition.
 
Lee (Tenn.) gathered one first-place vote and 475 points to jump from No. 5 to No. 2 .
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences/independent/unaffiliated groupings.
