LCSC: Started 33 of the 39 games he played in last season and was the team’s starting catcher all three games at the NAIA World Series...made his mark on defense where he threw out 11 of the 17 baserunners who attempted to steal against him...also had a .985 fielding percentage with 46 assists...at the plate he hit .264 (25-of-91) with five doubles, two home runs and 16 RBI...finished ninth on the team in slugging percentage and led the team with five sacrifice bunts...hit both of his home runs on back-to-back days late in the season against Corban...drove in a season-high three runs against the College of Idaho.

 

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played catcher and infield at El Camino College for coach Nate Fernley…named first-team all California…team won the South Coast Conference championship…finished third on the team with a .349 batting average…started 41 of the team’s 43 games and went 60-of-172 at the plate with 19 doubles, three triples, two home runs, and 42 RBI…also scored 34 runs and was 3-for-5 in stolen bases.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four varsity letters as a shortstop at West Torrance High School…earned league MVP honors.

 

PERSONAL: Born Sept. 29, 1989 in Torrance, Calif…mother Barbara…brothers Adam and Alan…majoring in Kinesiology…enjoys hanging out at the beach.
