LCSC: Used both as a pitcher and first baseman last season…on the mound last year he went 1-2 with a 2.75 ERA, which was fifth among the regulars…made 14 appearances and three starts…took part in one combined shutout and also had a save…pitched 46 innings, which was fifth most on the team and struck out 47, which tied for third…opponents only hit .222 off of him…his one victory came in March in an 8-3 triumph over the College of Idaho…in that game he pitched the final 4.1 innings in relief and allowed one run on six hits…he also struck out four…at the plate he went 4-for-20 with one double and four RBI.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played first base and pitcher for two seasons at Lower Columbia Community College…member of two-time All-West Division team…All-NWACC first baseman sophomore year…third team ABCA first baseman as a sophomore…hit .403, which was second on the team…had team-leading 42 hits, along with nine doubles, two triples, and three home runs…drove in 41.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-sport athlete at Junction City High School, competing in football, basketball and baseball…earned four varsity letters in football playing linebacker, wide receiver, kicker, and punter…three-time all-league linebacker and wide receiver…first team all-league kicker and punter…earned three varsity letters in basketball…two-time all-league post and third-team all-state guard senior year…four-year captain of the baseball team…four-time all-state first team as a player and position player…two-time league player of the year.

PERSONAL: Born March 28, 1990 in Eugene, Ore. to Robert and Shirley Garner…sister Traci played college softball…majoring in Kinesiology…hobbies include hunting, fishing, riding quads and anything outdoors.
