JUNIOR COLLEGE: Attended Green River Community College for two seasons…made the most of his sophomore season when he earned second-team all-league honors…had 92 strikeouts in 57 innings with a 1.69 ERA.

HIGH SCHOOL:Attended Kentlake High where he graduated in 2007…was a pitcher/outfielder on the baseball team and earned one letter.

PERSONAL:  Born July 8, 1989 in Butler, Mo…parents are Jim and Cindy…has three brothers, James (23), and 19-year-old twins Jon and Doug…his uncle, Brian Raynes, played in the Detroit Tigers organization…hobbies include fishing, basketball, hiking, and boating…played with the Seattle Studs in the NBC World Series and helped team place seventh overall…plans to play with them again this summer…was defensive MVP for regional playoffs in summer of 2007 after throwing two complete games, one being a no-hitter and the other a shutout, to advance to the championship game…is a Secondary Education major.
