JUNIOR COLLEGE: Attended Glendale Community College and as a sophomore he went 1-1 with 1.53 ERA…Appeared in 15 games, all in relief, and was the team’s top closer with six saves…Pitched 35.1 innings and struck out 41 with just 10 walks…Opponents hit only .189 against him during the season…Led his team in ERA and helped it claim the league title and third place in the state tournament… Earned first-team all-league honors…Also led his team with a 3.41 ERA as a freshmen when he went 3-3…Mainly used as a starter that season with six starts and two relief appearances…Pitched 31.2 innings, striking out 26 and walking three.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Verdugo Hill High in Tujunga, Calif. and graduated in 2008…Was a pitcher, catcher and third baseman on the baseball team and was captain of the team his junior season.
