Chip Damato

Years as a Warrior:
1988, 1989.

Baseball career description: Played second-base and was a part of both the 1988 and 1989 NAIA World Series Championship teams. In 1988 he was a member of the All-NAIA National Tournament Team, and in 1989 he won the Gold Glove award. Later as a coach in 1990, 1991, and 1992, Chip earned three more World Series rings. 

Update: Chip and his wife, Shelly, live in Lewiston, ID, and have a son named Jarod (12), and a daughter named Alexis (8). Chip works as the general manager of Inland Cellular Telephone Company.  

 

Victor Darensbourg

MLB Debut: 1998 with the Florida Marlins.

 Steve Decker

Years as a Warrior:
1987, 1988.
NAIA Championships: 1987, 1988
MLB Debut: September 18, 1990, with the Giants.
In the Majors: In his seven year career, he played for the Giants, Marlins, Rockies, and Angels.
MLB Retirement: 1999 as an Angel.

 Ray Domecq

Years as a Warrior:
1989, 1990

Baseball career description: As a closer and after his career at LCSC, Ray went on to pitch three years in the Minor Leagues with the Phillies. One prominent memory he recalls: "Ed, sending Bax to the bus."

Academic Information: Graduated from LCSC in 1991 with a degree in kinesiology. 

Update: Ray and his wife, Lisa, live with their two sons, Tyler and Mason ("both lefties!"), in Thayne, Wyoming. Currently self-employed, he is the owner of Wyoming West Designs.

 Mark Dow

Years as a Warrior:
1988, 1989, 1990, 1991

Baseball career description: "Was
lucky enough to play on three championship teams with a lot of talented coaches and players. However, besides playing in the World Series in front of the best baseball fans in the country, I'd have to say playing no rules football is right up there.  I had a great college experience!"

Academic Information: Graduated from LCSC in 1991 with a BS in business administration.  

Update: Mark is a general contractor and developer in business with his brother and father. He and his wife, Colette, have one son and one daughter, and currently reside in Issaquah, Washington. "
Our daughter is eight and she loves playing baseball, golf, soccer and basketball. Our son is only a year and half old but shows some promise. He already loves throwing the baseball around."

"Still involved with baseball, I am currently the General Manager of the Seattle Studs (a semi-pro summer team with mostly college age players). I would love to hear from guys I played with."

Larry Downes

Years as a Warrior:
1981, 1982

Baseball career description: "Went to the NAIA World Series in Lubbuck, Texas."

Academic Information: Earned a bachelors degree in education from LCSC in 1982.

Update: Larry is a secondary school teacher for the District School Board of Niagara, and he and his wife, Therese, reside in Ontario, Canada.
