Baseball career description:
"After transferring to Hawaii
Pacific College in 1987, I was able to turn my career around. I was
drafted in the 18th round in 1989 by the Minnesota Twins and played
in the Appalachian League, winning the batting title and leading the
league in RBI's. I played in a total of four seasons in professional
baseball, with roughly 600 at bats, a .312 average, 22 home runs and
125 RBI."
Academic Information:
Transferred from LCSC to Hawaii Pacific and graduated in 1989 with a
BA in business and a BS in liberal arts.
Update:
A self-employed insurance and
real estate consultant, Mike and his wife Kathryn (a Washington
State University graduate), reside in Las Vegas, Nevada. They have
one son named, Jake. "Jake, born in 1998, was a slow starter in
baseball but has steadily been improving."
