Warriors
build on Conference lead
4-11-06
Lewis-Clark State essentially ran the table in the
season's next-to-last Frontier Conference golf
tournament, claiming every honor in the meet that
concluded Tuesday at the Clarkston Golf and Country
Club. L-C easily captured by the men's and women's
team crowns, giving them comfortable leads heading
into the season's final conference meet, to be held
next week at Salt Lake City. The L-C men hold a
30-stroke advantage on Montana Tech, while the women
are 25-strokes ahead of Rocky Mountain. On the men's
side, Jason Humphrey fired a third-round 68 to take
medalist honors with a total of 220, two strokes
better than teammate Jeff

Humphrey
birdies Final hole for title
3-21-06
Jason Humphrey chipped in for birdie on the final
hole, giving him the needed edge to claim medalist
honors at the Warrior Invitational golf tournament,
which concluded Tuesday at the Clarkston Golf and
Country Club. Humphrey shot a second-round 69,
giving him 143 for the tournament, one stroke better
than Simon Fraser's Mathew Steinbach. L-C claimed
the men's team title with a total of 596, eight
shots ahead of second-place Simon Fraser. Both the
Warriors and Simon Fraser shot 298 on Wednesday.

Golf
team holding raffle fundraiser
The
Lewis-Clark State College golf team is holding a raffle
for a one-week trip to San Diego for two as a fundraiser
for the program. Three raffle tickets can be
purchased for $20 and the drawing will be held March 1
at Riverview Marina in Lewiston. The holder of the
winning raffle ticket doesn't have to be present to win.
The grand prize is the trip to San Diego, which includes
two round-trip plan tickets from anywhere in the U.S. to
San Diego. There will be other prizes available.

Golf rankings announced
11-11-05
After a fall season full of tournaments and first and
second place finishes, the men’s and women’s golf
program head into the season’s winter break with gained
confidence and experience, and newly established
ratings. LCSC’s women’s team, who have notched two wins
out of the four tournaments they played in, sit at #15
in NAIA’s November 4th rating. The men, who thus far
have finished four events with a victory and two
second-place finishes, are ranked #28 in the country.
