Warrior men, women wrap
up fall golf with victories
11-3-07
PENDLETON, Ore. –
The Lewis-Clark State College men’s golf team shot its
best round of the fall season with a 3-over-par 291 to
defeat Corban College in a non-league dual match at the
Wild Horse Resort golf course on Saturday.
The Warriors women
also wrapped up the fall season by playing in the event,
but Corban was unable to field a full team.
LCSC senior Jeff
Ray shot a 1-under-par 71 for the lowest round of the
day, while Patrick Casabonne and Joey Lovell matched par
with 72. James Rooney, playing as an individual, also
matched par with a 72.
Despite the
scores, LCSC coach Paul Thompson said the team could
have shot much lower, but missed several birdie
opportunities.

side, Samara Kluever and Alana Norris tied for medalist
honors with 80s, while Sue James had an 81.
