April 13-14, 2009 (Lewiston,
ID)

As we prepared for the
Lewiston Country Club
tournament we were
excited with the weather
that we had been having
in Lewiston. However on
Monday morning it was
winding and cold. We
knew it was going to be
hard conditions that day
on the course and were
not looking forward to
36 holes in the 30mph
winds. Lucky we did
have some sunshine that
helped to keep it half
way warm. As the
warrior women set out to
take the lead back from
Rocky, we found it a bit
difficult to start the
day. Every person on
the team had confusion
about what had happened
in the first round as
Rocky picked up 20
strokes in the first
round alone. After
buckling down and
screwing our heads back
on we decided to play
some golf. In the
second round we shot
some good scores and
picked up 7 strokes to
Rocky. This gave us a
huge confidence boost
going into the 3rd
round Tuesday. As
Tuesday morning
approached we feared we
may be having a little
rain. It held off for
us and we picked up
another 8 strokes to
Rocky and ended up only
losing by 5 strokes. It
was disappointing for
the team since it was
our home tournament and
we wanted to win and
gain some strokes on the
seasonal total, we are
now down by 26 strokes
for the conference.
Next week we travel to
Salt Lake City where we
are looking forward to
nice weather and gaining
some strokes on Rocky
and pulling into the
lead for conference.
