April 27-28, 2009 (Great
Falls, MT)

As we headed to Shelby,
MT we knew we weren’t
going to have as nice of
weather as Salt Lake
City as Montana is just
coming out of winter.
Leaving Lewiston at 4am
on a Sunday morning we
find ourselves yet again
on the charter bus. By
the time most of us had
awaken we were in
Helena, MT broke down on
the side of the road.
As the bus driver tried
to fix it, we preceded
to get some lunch. As
we get back on the road
we head toward Great
Falls, MT and proceed
the wrong way from there
for an hour and a half.
By this point we have
all decided it was
pointless to be on this
trip it’s a sign. After
we finally arrive in
Shelby, MT (after 15
hours to get there) we
get some food and head
to bed. The next
morning we are preparing
to play some good golf
as the week before and
as we open the blinds we
find 2 inches of snow
and are told we are
heading home. So back
on the bus we go for
another 10 hours home.
We are calling this the
worst trip ever.
Hopefully no more
Montana in the spring
season from now on. Oh
yeah our next stop
NATIONALS!!!!
Cortney

Early
Sunday morning we headed
out to Shelby Monatana
for the Great Falls
Frontier Conference
Tournament. On the way
over the Pass we were
met by a foot or two of
snow, making us all
wonder what this trip
had in store for us. By
the time we reached
Helena the weather had
cleared a little bit,
but we were met by a
broken water main in the
back of the bus. The
team spread out and our
bus driver went to work
on the broken bus.
About an hour later we
were able to get back
out onto the road.
However, our GPS
apparently didn’t work
because we headed South
at Great Falls, instead
of North. We ended up
90 miles in the wrong
direction, and we were
forced to back track.
What was meant to be a
nine hour bus ride
turned into 15 hours by
the time we finally
reached the hotel. We
were all tired and went
to bed that Sunday
night. The next morning
we woke up to two inches
of snow on the ground,
with snow still
falling. After a small
wait, the coaches
decided to cancel the
tournament, so we headed
back to Lewiston. After
another ten hour ride we
finally made it home.
Our trip lasted a total
of 38 hours (28 of which
we spent on the bus).
What a way to end our
spring season before
nationals!
