Athletics - Lewis-Clark State

Senior Cortney Shrout continued her strong play during the fall season by winning overall medalist honors for the third straight tournament and helping the Lewis-Clark State College women’s golf team to victory at the two-day 36-hole North Idaho Invitational at Avondale.

Shrout fired rounds of 81 and 86 for a 167 total to take top honors. LCSC, which held a two-shot lead over Community Colleges of Spokane entering the final day, shot a tournament-best 254 round on Tuesday to win by 12 strokes. The Warriors had a 514 total, while Community Colleges of Spokane finished at 526.

On the men’s side, Community Colleges of Spokane had the top two finishers and three of the top four to win with 596 strokes. Skagit Valley Community College was second at 622, while Lethbridge was third at 623. LCSC finished fourth at 624 after sitting in second place after the first day.
