House, Shrout lead LCSC golf teams over North Idaho
The Lewis-Clark State college men’s and women’s golf teams defeated North Idaho College in a nonconference event at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Clarkston, Wash. on Friday. LCSC’s men’s team bested the NIC men 285-308, while the Warrior women won 246-271.
Ben House led the Warriors and won the individual title with a score of 69. He was followed closely by teammates Connor McCracken, Tony Azzara, and Chris Jarrett who each shot 71 on the day.
Cortney Shrout, who has now earned medalist honors in all four events she has competed in this season, blew away the field with a score of 75. Her closest competition was teammate Alana Norris who claimed second with an 84.
With the fall portion of LCSC’s 2009-2010 schedule now in the books, the Warriors next event will be the LCSC Invitational on March 15-16.
