LCSC women are No. 23 in spring's first poll
2/26/2010

The Lewis-Clark State college women’s golf team is ranked No. 23 in the first NAIA Women’s Golf Coaches Top 25 poll of the season, while the Warrior men’s team received votes.

Both polls, which were released on Friday, were voted upon by head coaches representing each of the conference, independents and unaffiliated groups.

The Warrior women moved up one spot from the NAIA preseason poll, which came out in early December.  The Warriors were tied with Walsh in the preseason poll, but stand at No. 23 now with 111 points, while Walsh has 108 point.

Oklahoma City kept hold of the top spot for the seventh consecutive poll.

On the men’s side, Oklahoma Christian jumped 10 spots from its preseason ranking to the No. 1 spot y. The Eagles earned seven first-place votes for 536 points, edging second-ranked Savannah College of Art and Design’s (Ga.) six first-place votes and 533 points.

The Warrior men were 10th among teams receiving votes and had 19 points.
