Eight LC golfers earn FC honors
5/9/2010

WHITEFISH, Mont. - Two members of the Lewis-Clark State College men's golf team and another from the women's team were chosen to the All-Frontier Conference first team, including both Players of the Year, while five others earned second team honors, and Heather Bruce was named the women's Freshman of the Year, conference commissioner Kent Paulson announced on Sunday.

The all-conference team is determined by the results of the league’s tournaments. The conference has three tournaments during the year and to qualify for all-league honors, a player must participate in all three tournaments.

The Players of the Year were both repeats from last year as junior Connor McCracken of Eagle, Idaho, and senior Corntey Shrout from Okanagan, Wash., both won top honors. The two both qualified for their respective NAIA national tournaments later this month.

McCracken was joined on the first team by fellow senior Scott Mooney of Boise. Junior Ben House and freshman Kyler Nilsson, both of Lewiston, were second-team selections.

The Warrior women had three second team members with senior Sue James of Kellogg, junior Alana Norris of Nanaimo, British Columbia, and Bruce from Enterprise, Ore.

On the men's side, Jakob Good and Marcus Segerstrom, both of Rocky Mountain College, were named Co-

Freshmen of the Year. Randy Northrop of Rocky Mountain College was named Coach of the Year for both the men and women.
