Seven LC golfers earn all-conference honors
Four members of the Lewis-Clark State College women’s golf team and three from the men’s team earned Academic All-Frontier Conference honors for the 2009-10 school year, conference commission Kent Paulson announced.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in academic standing, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and participate in one half of his/her team’s matches.
Named to the team for the LCSC women were seniors Sue James of Kellogg, and Cortney Shrout of Okanogan, Wash. They join juniors Alana Norris of Nanaimo, British Columbia, and Brittney Wheeler of Hyde Park, Utah. James and Norris are majoring in Kinesiology, Shrout is majoring in Business Administration, and Wheeler is majoring in Hospitality Management.
Representing the Warrior men were senior Scott Mooney of Boise, and juniors Connor McCracken of Eagle, and Brad Tracy of Moses Lake, Wash. All three are Business Administration majors.
Both Shrout and McCracken won the conference’s Golfer of the Year honors for the second straight season and will participate in their respective national tournaments later this month.
