Three members of the Lewis-Clark State College women’s golf team and one from the baseball team have received 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors for their respective sports, the organization has announced.
To be eligible for honors, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify. They also must be nominated by their coach.
The Warrior women’s golf team had two seniors – Cortney Shrout of Okanogan, Wash., and Sue James of Kellogg, Idaho – earn honors, along with junior Alana Norris of Nanaimo, British Columbia.
Brian Abrey, a junior outfielder from Richmond, British Columbia, was one of 196 baseball players to be honored.
