The Lewis-Clark State College golf team moved up three spots into a tie for 20th in the final Golf World/Nike Golf NAIA Coaches’ Poll, which was released on Wednesday.
The Warriors, who were ranked No. 23 in the previous poll, drew 41 points in the poll to move into a tie with the University of Victoria.
LCSC, which is No. 26 in the NAIA Men’s Golf Coaches Top 25 poll, will take part in the NAIA national tournament next Tuesday through Friday at the TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. It’s the third straight year LCSC has qualified for nationals
Oklahoma City returned to the top spot in the poll after winning the Sooner Athletic Conference title, beating previous No. 1 Oklahoma Christian in the process. Oklahoma City claimed six of the eight first-place votes, while Oklahoma Christian had the other two.
