Lewis-Clark State College senior Alana Norris has been named a 2011 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete for women’s golf, the NAIA announced on Thursday.
Norris, who is from Nanaimo, British Columbia, was one of 82 women’s golfers to receive the honor.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
Norris, who was a key performer for the Warriors during her four-year career, graduated this spring with a degree in Kinesiology.
