PENDLETON, Ore. – The Lewis-Clark State College men’s and women’s golf teams kicked off the season with victories in three-team events at the Wildhorse Golf Course on Saturday.
The Warrior men shot a team score of 303 to defeat Whitman College by three shots and Warner Pacific by 13. The LC women had a team score of 319 to defeat both Whitman (340) and Warner Pacific (366)
For the LCSC men, Drew Reinland led the way with a 75, while Tyler Gable and Dillon Williams had 76s. Jordan Beveridge also had a 75, but was an extra player for the Warriors.
Whitman’s Andrew Welch took medalist honors with a 73.
On the women’s side, Heather Bruce carded a 74 and showed that she’s in fine form after missing all of last season. She had surgery on her calves a year ago and redshirted last year. Teammate Idah Whisenaut shot a 78
