Both Lewis-Clark State College golf teams took a dip in the latest NAIA Golf Coaches’ Top 25 polls, announced by the national office on Friday. The Warrior women fell one spot to No. 21, and the Warrior men dropped nine spots to be ranked at No. 26.
The LCSC women, which finished the regular season second in the Frontier Conference standings behind No. 17-ranked Westminster, received 142 points in the poll after getting 155 points two weeks ago.
In the men’s poll, LCSC, which had a lackluster third-place finish at the conference tournament in Lewiston earlier in the week, garnered just 93 points after receiving 183 points in the previous poll. The Warrior men finished second in the regular season standings to No. 21 Rocky Mountain.
Both Warrior squads will compete for automatic bids to nationals at the Frontier Conference Championship in Missoula, Mont., on April 23-24.
