CLARKSTON, Wash. – The Lewis-Clark State College men’s golf team is first and the women’s team is second after the first round of the annual Warrior Invitational on Monday at the Clarkston Golf and Country Club.
Paced by a 71 from senior Jason Molner, the men’s squad shot a 297 over the first 18 holes and has a 14 stroke lead over second-place Whitman College.
The Warrior women, ranked No. 17 in the preseason NAIA poll, shot a 352 on Monday and trail Whitman’s leading score of 326. College of Idaho is right behind LCSC with a total of 354.
Junior Heather Bruce leads the LCSC women with a score of 86.
The 36-hole event will wrap up on Tuesday.
