LCSC women's golf ranked No. 16
3/16/2013

The Lewis-Clark State College women’s golf team was ranked No. 16 in the first regular-season edition of the NAIA Golf Coaches' Poll, announced by the national office. The Warrior men received votes but did not crack the top 25.

The women’s team, which was ranked No. 17 in the preseason poll released in November, has finished third or better in the six events it has competed in this season. Earlier this week it claimed second at the Warrior Invitational in Clarkston, Wash.

The Warrior women are first in the Frontier Conference standings with a seven-stroke lead over Rocky Mountain.

In the men’s poll, LCSC, which has a 17-stroke lead in the conference standings, received 38 points to sit 29th overall. The Warrior men have won four of the six events they’ve played including a victory at the Warrior Invitational.

Up next on Lewis-Clark State’s schedule is the final regular-season Frontier Conference tournament in Salt Lake City, Utah, on April 15-16.
