Warriors Dominate Frontier Conference Postseason Golf Awards
LEWISTON, ID-The Lewis-Clark State College golf teams dominated the postseason Frontier Conference golf awards, released Thursday, May 2nd. The men's team won the regular season title while the women finished second.
Warrior head coach Jim Coleman was named Frontier Conference Coach of the Year and Darren Black (Lewiston, ID/ Lewiston HS) was named the conference’s Player of the Year. Coleman guided the team to its first-ever number one ranking, in the fall, and Black, NAIA’s #2 ranked player, finished the regular season with 1489 strokes, and was the medalist in three tournaments, and was second, twice.
Joining Black on the first team All-conference were: Brad Faller (Redmond, WA/Eastlake HS) and Luke Baker (Priest River, ID/Priest River-Lamanna HS).
Second team honors went to: Corey Brown (Clarkston, WA/Clarkston HS), Ben Bryson (Winnemucca, NV/Lowry HS), and Derek Williams (Kellogg, ID/Kellogg HS).
On the women’s side, Caroline Bradley (Squamish, ID/Howe Sound Secondary School) was named to the first-team, and Leslie Hodge (Pinehurst, ID/Kellogg HS) was named to the second team.
