BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Lewis-Clark State College men’s tennis team blanked Montana State University-Billings 7-0, but fell to two NCAA Division I Big Sky Conference schools during the weekend. 

On Friday night, the Warriors fell to host Montana State University as the Bobcats claimed a 7-0 win. On Saturday morning, Eastern Washington University also blanked the Warriors 7-0, before LCSC bounced back to defeat MSU-Billings, an NCAA Division II squad. 

LCSC is now 6-5 on the season. 

The doubles team of Cedric Dufour and Kevin Lee actually won their match against Eastern Washington, but because EWU swept the six singles matches and won two of the three doubles matches, it goes down as a 7-0 score. 

LCSC only lost one set in defeating Montana State-Billings as Oliver Stone was pushed to a third set at No. 2 singles before prevailing 10-5 in the final set. 

The Warriors now prepare for a big weekend as the NAIA Region I men’s and women’s team converge on the LCSC Indoor Tennis Center for a meet. The men will face the University of Alberta for Region I bragging rights, while the women will face College of Idaho, Southern Oregon and the University of Alberta.
