The Lewis-Clark State College women’s tennis team continued to find the going a bit rough against NCAA Division I competition, falling to both Air Force and the University of Idaho by identical 6-1 scores at the LCSC Tennis Center on Sunday.
The Warriors are now 0-3 on the season and all three losses are to NCAA Division I foes. The Warriors lost to Eastern Washington University on Saturday.
Against Air Force, LCSC’s No. 1 singles player Jamie Chan picked up a 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over Christin Abayan for the Warriors’ lone win.
Megan Smedley improved to 2-1 in singles play with a hard-fought 6-4, 5-7, 10-8 win over Idaho’s Annamaria Gould for the Warriors’ lone singles victory against the Vandals. LCSC also picked up a doubles win from Chan and Katharina Marsela.
The Warrior women are back in action on Feb. 6 when they play host to Montana State University-Billings.
