COSTA MESA, Calif. – Both Warrior tennis squads were defeated by the high-ranked teams of Vanguard on Thursday. The Lewis-Clark State College men’s tennis team dropped its match against Vanguard 7-2, while the LCSC women’s team was defeated 6-3.
Zhia Hwa Chong represented LCSC’s only singles win as he took his match 6-0, 6-0. Chong also worked with Kevin Lee to grab the Warriors, currently ranked No. 17 in the NAIA, their only doubles win against No. 8-ranked Vanguard.
The LCSC women, up against the No. 11-ranked Lions, had singles wins from Alyson Peck and Elaine Lee, and a doubles win by Megan Smedley and Rilee Moorhead.
