Men climb one spot to No. 18; women stay at No. 20
4/7/2009

The Lewis-Clark State College men’s tennis team climbed one spot to No. 18, while the women’s team stayed at No. 20 in this week’s NAIA Tennis Coaches Top 25 polls, which were released on Tuesday.

The Warrior men, who return to action next Tuesday in a match at Spokane against Whitworth, moved up one spot when Hope International fell from No. 18 to 25.  The Warriors had 147 points in the poll, 12 points behind No. 17 Oklahoma Christian.

The Warrior women stayed at No. 20 with 120 points and also trail Oklahoma Christian next in the poll. The Warrior women hit the cour ton Saturday when they play host to Whitman College at the LCSC Tennis Center.

Auburn Montgomery continues to hold down the top spot in both polls. AUM is the unanimous No. 1 pick in the men’s poll, while the women’s team grabbed 11 of the 12 first-place votes.
