BOZEMAN, Mont. - Losing the third set in all singles matches that went the longer distance, the Lewis-Clark State College men's tennis team was unable to pull off the upset and fell to Montana State University 5-2 on Saturday.
LCSC's Ivan Krijanto and Benjamin Robert both won the first sets of their matches, but then lost the next two while Oliver Sandayigaya won his second set before falling in the third. Montana State, now 2-7 overall, was able to sweep the doubles matches to close out the win.
LCSC, ranked No. 18 in the NAIA, is now 2-8 overall. Six of the eight losses have come against NCAA Division I teams.
The Warriors play another NCAA school this Saturday when they play host to Gonzaga at 3 p.m. at the LCSC Activity Center.
