LCSC women's tennis teams remains at No. 15

The Lewis-Clark State College women’s tennis team remained ranked No. 15 in the NAIA Women’s Tennis Coaches’ Top 25 poll, while the Warrior men’s team fell one spot to No. 21 this week.

 
 

The Warrior women, 6-9 overall, drew 199 points to tie Lindsey Wilson College of Kentucky for the No. 15 spot. Indiana Wesleyan is ranked No. 14 with 208 points.

 
 

For the 45th straight week, Auburn University Montgomery of Alabama is the top-ranked women’s team.

 
 

On the men’s side, LCSC, 7-13 overall, was overtaken by Oklahoma Baptist, which was unranked last week. Oklahoma Baptist drew 149 points in the poll, while LCSC had 135.

 
 

Fresno Pacific remains No. 1 for the fifth straight poll.

 
 

Both Warrior teams will be back in action at home this week. The Warrior men play host to Seattle University at noon at the LCSC Tennis Center on Friday, followed by the Warrior women against Bellevue Community College at 4 p.m.. All junior high and high school tennis players will be admitted free to the women’s match and there will be a question and answer period about college tennis.

 
 

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, independents and unaffiliated groupings. The next poll will be announced on April 20.
