SPOKANE - The Lewis-Clark State College men's tennis team lost four third sets in singles play and a doubles match 9-8 in falling to Gonzaga University 7-0 in match much closer than the final score indicates.
Gonzaga was able to sweep the six singles matches, but needed three sets to win four of them. Gonzaga also won two of the three doubles matches played.
LCSC's lone win in doubles came when Cesar Uauy and Zhia Hwa Chong scored a 9-8 win.
LCSC, 8-14 overall, resumes play on Tuesday in a 3 p.m. exhibition match against Spokane Community Colleges at the LCSC Tennis Center.
