EDMOND, Okla. – The Lewis-Clark State College men’s and women’s tennis teams ran into a buzz saw during their final matches of the regular season, falling to Oklahoma Christian on Saturday.
The Warrior men, ranked No. 21 in the NAIA, fell 7-1 to OCU, which is ranked No. 7. Oliver Sindayigaya picked up the Warriors only win in singles play by defeating Etienne Leite 6-2, 6-1.
On the women’s side, Oklahoma Christian, ranked No. 8, swept the No. 16-ranked Warriors 9-0.
LCSC will now wait until the final poll is announced on May 4 to see if both teams will earn berths to their respective national tournaments. As long as both teams are still ranked in the polls, they will receive automatic berths.
