LC tennis squads ranked in position for national berths
5/4/2010
The Lewis-Clark State College men's and women's tennis teams wrapped up berths in their respective NAIA national tournaments later this month when the men were ranked No. 18 and the women came in at No. 16 in the NAIA Tennis Coaches' final Top 25 polls of the season.

Both polls were released on Tuesday and the Warriors only needed to be ranked in the Top 25 after both squads won their respective region titles. The men's team climbed three spots to No. 18 in the final poll, while the Warrior women's team remained at No. 16.

The official announcement for NAIA qualifiers is Sunday and first-round pairings will be announced next Tuesday.

The Warrior men are making their 11th straight appearance at nationals and 20th overall, while the women's team is making its 14th straight trip and 17th overall. All national appearances have come under Warrior coach Kai Fong.

Both national tournaments begin May 15 at Mobile, Ala.
