SPOKANE – The Lewis-Clark State College men’s tennis team kicked off its season by splitting a pair of matches Saturday at Whitworth College.
The Warriors lost to the University of Idaho, an NCAA Division I school, 7-0, but then defeated Whitworth 8-1.
Against Idaho, the Warriors picked up a victory in doubles play when Lincoln Gay and Cesar Uauy combined for a tough 9-8 win.
Gay and Uauy then picked up both singles and doubles victories as the Warriors rolled past Whitworth. Tyler Oram and Oliver Sindayigaya also picked up singles and doubles victories over Whitworth.
