LEWISTON, Idaho – The Lewis-Clark State College men’s tennis team made quick work of Whitworth University at the LCSC Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon. The NAIA school shutout the NCAA Division III Pirates 9-0.
LCSC held each singles match to just two sets and also handily won each doubles match.
Anders Tischer took the No. 1 singles matchup 6-1, 6-2, and also partnered with Tyler Oram to win at No. 2 doubles. Ivan Krijanto, playing at No. 2, and Viktor Svoboda, No. 5, both won their singles matches after working together to win at No. 1 doubles.
Cesar Uauy earned his third straight singles victory by rolling 6-2,6-0 at No. 3. Uauy and Lincoln Gay were responsible for earning LC’s third doubles win.
LCSC now stands at 2-2 this season, with both of their wins coming against Whitworth as they beat the Pirates 8-1 in Spokane last month.
