PORTLAND, Ore. – The Lewis-Clark State College women’s tennis team was shutout 7-0 by the University of Portland on Friday.
The NAIA Warriors lost each match in straight sets against the NCAA Division I Pilots, but did come close to winning couple.
Dominika Jasova and Chelsea Gay came closest to notching singles wins for the Warriors. Playing at No. 1, Jasova lost her match 7-5, 6-2, while Gay was outdone 6-3, 7-6 at No. 6.
LCSC, which will face Whitman College in Walla Walla on Saturday at 1 p.m., is now 2-5 on the season with all five of their losses coming against NCAA Division I foes.
