SPOKANE – The Lewis-Clark State College men’s tennis team made quick work of Whitworth University on Saturday afternoon at the Scotford Tennis Center. The Warriors thumped the Pirates by a final score of 9-0.
The win improves Lewis-Clark State to 8-7 overall and drops Whitworth to 9-7.
LCSC swept each singles match in straight sets with the exception of No. 1 which pitted Warrior Anders Tischer against Daniel Redfern. Tischer, a 6-foot-5 freshman from Gruenberg, Germany, took the match via a tie-break 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7).
The Warriors have now defeated Whitworth, an NCAA Division-III school, three times this season including twice by shutout.
