Five members of the Lewis-Clark State College women’s and men’s tennis teams were named as 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, the NAIA has announced.
In all, 126 women and 96 men tennis players were honored.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
Earning the honors for the Warrior were juniors Marina Wold of Lewiston and Barb Sneckner of Bend, Ore., and senior Chelsea Gay of The Dalles, Ore. Wold is majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies, while Sneckner is a Kinesiology major. Gay has a double major of English and Psychology.

Honored from the Warrior men’s team were senior Oliver Sindayigaya of Bujumbura, Burundi, and junior Cesar Uauy of Santiago, Chile. Sindayigaya is majoring in Computer Science, while Uauy is a Business major.
